Thumb Coast Ultra & Relay – April 24, 2027

Michigan's Thumb is full of quiet dirt roads, wide-open farmland, and big skies. On Saturday, April 24, experience one of the state's most unique ultramarathons by running from Lake Huron in Harbor Beach to Saginaw Bay in Caseville.

Choose from a point-to-point 50 Mile, a flat and fast 50K out-and-back, or gather your friends for the 50 Mile Relay. Whether you're tackling your first ultra, chasing a personal best, or spending the day leapfrogging across the Thumb with a relay team, Thumb Coast is an adventure built around community as much as competition.

The course follows mostly dirt and unimproved rural roads with minimal elevation gain, generous cutoff times, and fully stocked aid stations staffed by an incredible team of volunteers. Ruck divisions are also available in the 50 Mile and 50K. Fifty-mile finishers who reach Caseville before sunset earn a special "Beat the Sun" award.

Registration includes a finisher medal, participant jacket, professional race photography, post-race food, and one of the most welcoming race communities you'll find anywhere.
