Road Trip
Michigan’s Thumbcoast is 140 miles of beautiful shoreline along Lake Huron and the St. Clair River on the sunrise-side. What makes this coast so special is the collection of waterfront communities you’ll find along the way. They’re all just a short drive from one another, yet each offers its own charm, history, attractions, shops, restaurants, and waterfront experiences.
Spend the day relaxing at a beach, exploring a small downtown district, watching freighters pass by, enjoying a meal on the water, or taking in the natural beauty that makes this region so memorable. With more than 80 parks and beaches throughout the Thumbcoast, there are countless ways to enjoy the shoreline.
